Under the shade of ancient olive trees, with the wind carrying the scent of wild thyme, the first stone was laid. Lam Shamel began not as a business plan, but as a vision — a place where nature, heritage, and human connection could come together.
In 2020, at the wake of COVID-19 when the world was slowing down, we took a leap forward. We bought a piece of land — empty, wild, full of possibility. Late that year, the first shovels of earth were turned. There was no shortcut, no large team — just determination, creativity, and countless days of work with our own hands.
The journey was far from easy. There were moments when resources ran low, when challenges felt endless, and when the dream seemed too far away to touch. Yet, each hurdle became part of the story — shaping the soul of Lam Shamel as much as the stones and soil did.
Slowly, the vision took form. By spring 2023, the land had transformed into a welcoming space — rooms ready, gardens blooming, and paths inviting exploration. In May 2023, we welcomed our very first group of visitors. Their laughter and presence breathed life into what had once been only an idea.
Today, Lam Shamel stands as more than just an ecotourism destination. It is a living space of connection — where strangers share meals, stories, and a love for the land. Every sunrise over our hills is a reminder: dreams are built one day, one stone, one act of hope at a time.
We invite you to be part of our story — to walk our trails, share our table, and feel the quiet magic of Lam Shamel for yourself.
