Today marks an important milestone in our journey towards full renewable energy production. We are expanding our solar energy system to produce 100% of our electricity from clean sources. At Lam Shamel, we are determined to create a business example that is 100% eco friendly and sustainable. We are currently producing 50% of our electricity by harnessing solar energy, through our current efforts and investment we will become fully dependent on solar energy in the next 2 weeks. Additionally, we are producing nearly 80% of our water needs through rain water harvesting and we are aiming to to expand that capacity to be fully dependent on rain water in the next 6 months.
Lam Shamel is an agricultural tourism hub located in the heart of the West Bank. Our facilities currently feature 3 accommodation cabins, multipurpose hall, camping site and a farm. Our goal is to create quality and sustainable agricultural tourism hub that is integrated with its surrounding by positively interacting socially and economically with the surrounding communities.
